Richard K. Buckman is a seasoned political operative renowned for his in-depth knowledge of various subjects, coupled with a pragmatic and flexible negotiation approach. His unwavering commitment to achieving objectives, both personal and on behalf of clients, has established him as a prominent figure with easy access to Capitol Hill and the entire federal apparatus in Washington, DC.

Having served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Morelli Ratner Law Firm, Richard managed the firm’s Washington, DC operation, collaborating closely with senior partners Ben Morelli and David Ratner. In this role, he handled all governmental and political aspects nationwide and internationally, showcasing exceptional relationship-building skills with members of the House and Senate, as well as influential figures within both party affiliations.

Previously, Richard held the position of Director of Government Relations at The Eaves Law Firm in Washington, DC, where he played a pivotal role in the firm’s lawsuit against the United States Navy on behalf of Vieques, Puerto Rico. His responsibilities included liaising with the United States Congress, the Navy, and the Bush Administration.

As the CEO of Buckman and Associates, a highly successful political consulting and management firm, Richard demonstrated his prowess in federal, gubernatorial, state-wide, legislative, and municipal races across the United States. Under his leadership, the firm achieved an impressive track record, winning 68 out of 72 campaigns.

Born and raised in Pachuta, Mississippi, Richard Buckman pursued Political Science and Economics at the University of Southern Mississippi after graduating from Quitman High School. His political journey commenced in Washington, DC, where he began working for the late Congressman Larkin Smith (R-MS), marking the inception of a career spanning over 30 years on the national political stage.

Currently residing in Diamondhead, MS, with his wife Kim, Richard serves as the President of “The Dot Connector,” a political consulting firm specializing in fundraising, strategy, and crisis management. His life’s work reflects a dedication to the intricate craft of political operations and a commitment to fostering success in the ever-evolving landscape of American politics.
